1. Transcripts: Send official transcripts (in sealed envelopes) issued within the last year from all U.S. postsecondary institutions attended.
2. International documents: If you have international coursework, you must have your school send us one official original-language record of all academic coursework and proof of degree. For each document you must also send a certified literal English translation, which can come directly from the school itself or from a professional, certified translator. The translation must contain all information shown on the original-language documents. For details on which documents are required, visit the Requirements by Country page.
3. Test scores: Submit official scores to SDSU using the information below:
GRE – Graduate Record Exam
Applicants for admission to advanced degree programs must submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination General Test.
All sections (Verbal, Quantitative, Analytical Writing) must be completed.
Applicants to the College of Business Administration may submit GRE scores in lieu of the GMAT.
GMAT – Graduate Management Assessment Test
Applicants to the College of Business Administration may submit scores from the Graduate Management Assessment Test or GRE.
Applicants to the Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management or the Master of Public Health concentration in Health Management and Policy may take the GMAT in lieu of the GRE.
LSAT – Law School Admission Test
Applicants to the MSW/JD program may use Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scores in lieu of the GRE.
Applicants to the MBA/JD program must submit both GMAT and LSAT scores.
4. English Language Proficiency: All graduate and post-baccalaureate applicants, regardless of citizenship, whose native language is not English and whose preparatory education was principally in a language other than English must demonstrate competence in English. Those applicants who do not possess a bachelor's degree from a postsecondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction must submit official TOEFL or IELTS results:

TOEFL – Test Of English as a Foreign Language The minimum required score for admission is 80 for the iBT test or 550 for the PBT test. Please note scores must be recent; within the past two years.
